Temperature changes
Earth's average temperature has increased in the past 100 years. This change in temperature is not obvious to us, but the effects are. A small change in temperature leads to a huge change in the enviornment. The Earth is at the ideal temperature to preserve the ice caps, coral reefs, and other natural wonders that can only survive up until a certain temperature. The snow caps will melt, causing the sea levels to rise. Also, fish will start to die off, because the water is getting to be too warm.
Changes in Precipitation

The precipitation changes have varied depending on location. Certain areas, such as sub-Saharan Africa, are experiencing a decrease in precipitation. This can affect the water quantity therefore effecting agriculture leading to a possible famine and economic issues. Other areas, such as eastern Russia, have experienced and increase in precipitation. This can lead to flooding and economic issues in tourism and other aspects due to less desirable weather. It can be noted that as the ice caps melt and the earth grows warmer, the areas closer to the poles experience more rainfall and those close to the hot equator experience a drought.
Sea level Changes
As the earth warms, so does the ocean. This in turn melts the ice which goes into the sea and causes the sea level to rise. The sea level has risen four to eight inches in the last one hundred years. If it continues to rise at the predicted rate, every city on the east coast will be flooded.
Changes in Biota
As the sea levels rise due to the earth warming and melting of the ice caps, many coastal ecosystems are flooded. Certain ecosystems which are high in biodiversity are experiencing flooding and could soon be entirely submerged. Many organisms cannot adapt to the increased temperatures and are dying out.
