What are Greenhouse Gasses? |
Greenhouse gases are gases emitted into
the atmosphere through both natural and man-made processes which trap heat into
the atmosphere, causing climate change and other problems.

Where do Greenhouse Gases come from?
The majority of greenhouse gases come from the production, distribution, and use of Fossil fuels. They are also emitted from other sources.

The above graph shows the trend of the greenhouse gases emissions from 1990-2013. It should be noted that the total amount of emissions were increasing and then have been decreasing as the awareness of the effect of greenhouse gas emissions increased. It also shows the discrepancy between the different greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse Effect
The greenhouse effect is the process of greenhouse gasses trapping the thermal radiation from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere re-radiating some of it into the atmosphere and allowing some to escape. This leads to an overall climate change on the earth's surface.
